Capital Campaigns

Raising capital dollars may seem to be a daunting task but it is the most rewarding and invigorating process an organization can achieve. Carrie will help you audit the organizational readiness for a capital campaign through feasibility and sphere studies.  Once viability is established, she will teach, coach and lead the organization to raise the capital.

Proven results:  As Vice President of Advancement for the Aspen Valley Medical Foundation, Carrie raised $12 million to kick off the building expansion of the Aspen Valley Hospital.  | As a consultant to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Aspen, she coached the organization to raise $8 million in 4 months to build a new community center.

Community Outreach & Partnership

Community integration and partnership are critical to strengthen the health and longevity of any institution.  Carrie can help you investigate strategic partnerships and community engagement opportunities to leverage your organizations relevancy and integral stronghold within your community.

Proven results: As Executive Director of the Vail Symposium, Carrie created partnerships with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and the Smithsonian to elevate the quality and substance of its community programs.  | As the Vice President of Advancement of the Aspen Valley Medical Foundation, Carrie helped start an incubated project, The Aspen Hope Center, to tackle the skyrocketing suicide rate in Pitkin County.  She partnered with school districts, fire and police departments and effected business and organizations to holistically tackle the troubling issue of suicide.

Strategic Leadership Building

Success starts at the top.  Carrie can help you survey the strength of your leadership.  Do you have the right number of board members?  Are your term limits adequate?  Do you have effective diversity?  Are your board members motivated?  Carrie can help you make the appropriate pivots to effectively manage the leaders in and around your organization.

​Proven results: With the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Carrie helped to establish a 'give and get' policy of the Board of Directors to pivot the board towards a more effective and engaged focus on fundraising.  | At the Cooper Union, Carrie established a parents and students committee to help leverage a new untapped resource of financial and leadership potential for the school.  

Organizational Relevancy

Competition and viability has never been more difficult.  Now more than ever, relevancy is a recurring topic of discussion.  How can you tap into new audience?  How can the organization ride the wave of what's new and different in the ever-changing, face-paced world we live in?  

Proven results:  With Colorado Bright Beginnings, Carrie helped navigate an organizational name change to more adequately convey and compete in the large early education space.  | After the economic downturn of 2008, Carrie developed the theme of Rethink to help frame a diverse range of community discussions covered by the Vail Symposium during a time of uncertainty.

Fundraising Fundamentals

Diversification and strength of funding sources are critical to organizational viability and sustainability.  Carrie can help you survey the strengths and weaknesses of your current giving program.  She may suggest new grant opportunities; online marketing strategies; events to attract new audiences; community partnerships; giving level or membership refreshment strategies; and/or active donor research.

Proven results: Through in-depth donor research, Carrie has been able to aid a variety of clients uncover untapped financial potential within their current donor roster. One organization (identities withheld) uncovered the true financial capacity of a currently engaged donor and successfully converted that donor from a 3-figure donor to a 5-figure donor within the same fiscal year.
